As a Sales Specialist in Kpler’s Commercial team, you will be responsible for developing Kpler’s Dry Bulk sales penetration across the EMEA region, with a focus on Metals, Mining, Agriculture and Freight.
You will act as a key growth engine for Kpler’s Dry Bulk suite of solutions, opening new markets, winning new logos, and identifying opportunities to grow revenue across both new and existing clients. You will manage a defined book of business and own the sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to pitching, negotiation and closing.
Working closely with Sales, Research, Marketing and Business Unit teams, you will develop a deep understanding of the Dry Bulk market and Kpler’s offering, using this knowledge to position our solutions as strategic tools for clients and strengthen our market position across EMEA.
Reporting to the Dry Bulk Sales Specialist Team Lead, this role requires a proactive, commercially driven individual who is motivated by achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow a defined book of business for Kpler’s Dry Bulk products across the EMEA region, including both new prospects and existing Kpler clients.
- Drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying opportunities through to pitching, negotiation and closing Kpler Dry Bulk solutions.
- Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets through consistent pipeline development, opportunity management and new business generation.
- Develop a deep understanding of Kpler’s Dry Bulk offering and position our Metals, Mining, Agriculture and Freight solutions as strategic solutions for clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client organisations.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, opening new markets and securing new Kpler Dry Bulk clients across priority EMEA markets.
- Collaborate closely with Data and Research teams to ensure client feedback and market intelligence inform product development and positioning.
- Partner with Marketing and Business Development to generate and nurture inbound and outbound leads across the EMEA market.
- Monitor and report sales performance, pipeline health and key metrics through Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
- Maintain competitive awareness by tracking market developments and competitor offerings, sharing relevant intelligence with internal stakeholders.
- Represent Kpler’s Dry Bulk solutions at regional industry events, conferences and client meetings to strengthen market visibility and develop new relationships.
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a commercial or sales role, ideally with a proven track record of closing deals and achieving revenue targets in a B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of the Dry Bulk sector, with experience selling data-driven or research-based products and the ability to articulate how Kpler’s Dry Bulk solutions can drive value.
- Proven experience managing a regional or defined book of business, with ownership of pipeline generation, client engagement and renewals.
- Experience within the Dry Bulk space, particularly across Metals and Mining, Agriculture or Dry Bulk Freight.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to identify market trends and connect them to client opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear and compelling value propositions to senior stakeholders.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, with disciplined management of pipeline and forecasting activities.
- Strong commercial drive and a focus on achieving revenue growth while building long-term client partnerships.
- Professional-level English, written and spoken.

- Previous New Business / New Logo sales experience.
