We’re currently recruiting a junior to mid-level Document Controller/Project Management Junior to work across all projects as part of our project management office (PMO) team. This position is a 12-month fixed term contract covering our existing Document Controller's maternity leave.
The role ensures documentation produced by Firstco meets our rigorous quality standards, and champions consistency and correctness across all teams and departments. The document controller is responsible for transmission, filing, distribution and administration of the high volume of version controlled documents issued by and received by the company. This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and gain valuable experience within a highly regulated environment. This role offers opportunities to develop and progress within the project management office. Whilst we cannot guarantee a permanent role at the end of the 12 months, we would hope to absorb you into our existing PMO team should the project work permit.
Example Duties and Responsibilities
- Support all projects in the review and approval of documentation to meet quality standards (branding, templates, proofing, formatting, etc.).
- Support Project Managers in version control, transmission and distribution of documents into and out of projects.
- Manage the resolution of both internal and customer comments through to document approval.
- Take ownership of producing and updating document templates including brand alignment.
- Champion consistency and quality of documentation across the company, supporting and guiding individuals as needed.
- Support our sales and marketing teams as well as other departments in similar tasks, as well as producing copy and collateral for internal and external communications.
- Additional relevant administrative support to projects and departments as necessary.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- A high level of competence in written English.
- A high level of competence in MS Office.
- Demonstrate the capacity to work effectively and build relationships within a team environment.
- A diligent attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to self-manage with high level organisational skills (prioritising tasks, respecting deadlines, methodical work).
- Be familiar with electronic document management systems such as SharePoint.
We welcome applicants who are newly qualified or recently graduated.
Working schedule and location is negotiable for this role.
We will consider both full and part time candidates.
Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK (sponsorship is not available for this role.)
Firstco is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
