Experienced Practice Accountant

We're a small, friendly accountancy practice based in Lowton, Warrington, looking for an experienced Practice Accountant to join our team. We pride ourselves on close-knit working relationships, a supportive environment, and providing a high-quality, personal service to our clients.

The Role

You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering a full range of accountancy services including:

Company secretarial work

Preparation of statutory and management accounts

Corporation tax computations and returns

VAT returns

Self-assessment tax returns

Bookkeeping

General client advisory and support

This is a part-time role with flexible hours — we're happy to discuss and agree a working pattern that suits you. Hybrid working is available, with 1 day per week working from home.

About You

ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified

Minimum 3 years' practice experience

Confident managing your own client portfolio

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Comfortable working independently as well as part of a close team

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Proficient with accounting software (Xero preferred)

What We Offer

£34,000–£45,000 FTE, depending on experience (pro rata for part-time hours)

Part-time role with flexible, negotiable hours

Hybrid working — 1 day per week from home

20 days' holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays, rising by 1 day each year up to 25 days
