Warehouse Operative

MVP (Magnum Venus Products), part of the Tricel Group, is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Dudley. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of our warehouse and assembly functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, assembly and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and safety. This role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, is highly organised and takes pride in delivering high-quality work as part of a busy team environment.

Responsibilities

· Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to load, unload, move and store materials.

· Carry out daily forklift inspections and report any defects, damage or safety concerns.

· Pick customer orders accurately, ensuring products and quantities match order documentation.

· Pack, label and prepare goods for dispatch in line with customer and company requirements.

· Receive deliveries, check stock against documentation and store items in the correct locations.

· Assemble parts and components in accordance with drawings, instructions and quality standards.

· Inspect completed assemblies and report any faults, shortages or quality concerns.

· Assist with stock control activities, including stock counts and inventory checks.

· Follow all Health & Safety procedures, manual handling practices and site policies.

· Work closely with warehouse, production and transport teams to meet business requirements.

· Undertake any other duties as required by management to support the needs of the business.

Skills & Experience

· Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck license/certification advantageous.

· Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, logistics or manufacturing environment desirable.

· Experience of stock control and order fulfilment would be advantageous.

· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

· Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.

· Reliable, punctual and able to work to deadlines.

· Comfortable working in a physically active role involving manual handling.

· Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety requirements.
