Senior Legal Counsel Regulatory

You will provide legal guidance on UK, EU, and Middle East operations. You will advise on stablecoin, payment, and card products; draft legal documents and commercial agreements; manage regulatory and privacy obligations; support card-program compliance; oversee external counsel; and engage regulators.

Responsibilities

• Advise on legal and compliance issues for stablecoin, payment, and card products
• Expand product offerings in line with regulatory requirements
• Draft and maintain customer-facing legal documents
• Manage UK, EU, Middle East, financial services, digital asset, and privacy regulatory requirements
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on their business impact
• Own the global data privacy legal function
• Design compliant product structures with Product and Commercial teams
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
• Support card programme compliance under Visa and Mastercard rules
• Ensure compliance with financial services regulation, AML/CTF, sanctions, and Travel Rule obligations
• Manage outside counsel relationships and legal spend
• Engage regulators and industry associations

Requirements

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience
• Qualification in England and Wales or an EU Member State
• Experience advising on digital assets and payments
• Knowledge of FCA regulation and UK financial services law
• Working knowledge of EU financial services regulation and a MENA regulatory framework
• UK GDPR and/or EU GDPR advisory experience
• Familiarity with AML/CTF, sanctions compliance, and Travel Rule obligations
• Ability to translate complex regulation into practical business guidance
