Job description

About Lawhive

Lawhive is a global, AI-native law firm. Operating in the US and UK, we’ve built our own agentic operating system for legal services.

We partner with leading Main Street law firms to give lawyers and back-office teams the AI platform, marketing, and operational support to grow faster than they could alone. Our specialized AI agent for legal work, Lawrence, works alongside lawyers, putting human legal judgment right where it belongs: at the center of every matter.

We're backed by a $60M Series B at a $685M valuation, from investors including Google Ventures, TQ Ventures, Mitch Rales, Balderton Capital and Premier League footballers Harry Maguire and Reece James. In the last few years we've hit milestone after milestone, raising over $110M in funding. Today, we're on track to exceed $100 million in annual revenue, and we have offices in London, New York, Austin, and Phoenix.

So if you want your work to have real, tangible impact as we redefine an entire industry, Lawhive is where you can make it happen.

Finance at Lawhive

We're a lean finance team working across Lawhive's UK and US group, partnering with every part of the business from product and engineering to legal operations and the exec team. Over the next 12 to 18 months we're focused on:

  • Building the systems, controls and reporting for a multi-entity group on the path to audit

  • Creating real-time, decision-grade data on cash flow, margins and unit economics

  • Bringing acquired entities into one unified finance function

  • Automating workflows across payables, payroll, tax, FP&A and revenue accounting

If you want a finance role where the problems are real and the impact is visible across the whole company, this is it.

Role Overview

We're looking for an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to own financial planning for a fast-scaling, multi-entity group. This is the only FP&A role in the business, so you'll own forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling end to end, working directly with finance leadership and senior stakeholders across product, engineering, operations and commercial teams.

This is a role for someone who has built FP&A foundations before, ideally in a startup or scale-up. You'll know what good looks like in a high-growth environment, be comfortable creating structure from ambiguity, and be ready to act as a trusted advisor on performance, trade-offs and strategy as we scale across the UK and US.

Key Responsibilities

Forecasting and Modelling

  • Own group-level forecasting across revenue, headcount, costs and cash flow

  • Build and maintain the financial models that support planning and investment decisions

  • Analyse performance trends and highlight risks, opportunities and drivers

  • Lead scenario modelling, long-range planning and sensitivity analysis

Business Partnering

  • Work closely with functional leaders to understand performance, risks and future requirements

  • Translate financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations

  • Provide commercial input on new initiatives and operational decisions

  • Build strong relationships and support decision-making with high-quality data

Reporting and Insight

  • Produce monthly reporting packs with commentary, analysis and a clear narrative

  • Track revenue, margins, unit economics and operational KPIs

  • Improve reporting processes, dashboards and data visibility across the business

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure accuracy and consistency across outputs

Building the Function

  • Build scalable FP&A tools, processes and reporting frameworks

  • Run the budgeting cycle and set up standardised planning processes across teams

  • Partner with the Management Accounting team on performance reviews, month-end insight and variance analysis

  • Strengthen financial governance and planning discipline across the business

About You

  • Significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or strategic analysis

  • Experience in a startup or scale-up, ideally having built or rebuilt an FP&A function

  • Strong financial modelling capability and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills

  • Confident analysing complex data sets and translating them into clear recommendations

  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions

  • Strong understanding of revenue models, costs, margins and operational metrics

  • Highly analytical, commercially minded and intellectually curious

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities

  • A self-starter who enjoys building structure, improving tools and driving clarity

Interview process

  • Introductory call with our Talent team

  • 1:1 with your hiring manager

  • Skills assessment interview

  • Values interview with one of our Founders

  • We offer!
