💚 Shaping the future of sustainable digital banking 💚

Launched in 2014 as one of the UK’s original challenger banks, Tandem is proudly headquartered in the Northwest, with over 500 people working across the UK.

People join Tandem because they want to shape something meaningful. Here, you’ll use your skills to create products that empower people to make better financial choices and lower their environmental impact. We’re big enough to drive real change, small enough for every voice to be heard, and united by a shared purpose that inspires us to move forward - together.

Recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for 2024 and 2025, Tandem has also been named in The Sunday Times 100 Tech list for two consecutive years in 2025 and 2026 – a list of the fastest growing tech companies in Britain, reflective of our growing industry presence. Tandem was also awarded Investor in Customers’ Gold Standard based on customer and employee feedback and is a Certified™ Great Place to Work®.

Tandem is growing fast and helping to shape the future of sustainable banking.

Your team: Collaborators in change

Tandem is proud to offer a workplace with diverse experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds which leads to a unique company culture for our people and a better experience for our customers.

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Reporting, you’ll be instrumental in delivering end-to-end accuracy and control of the Bank’s prudential and statistical regulatory returns, as well as coaching, training and developing the Regulatory Reporting team. You’ll review, challenge and support preparation of capital, liquidity and Bank of England returns prepared by the team and act as a trusted technical authority for colleagues across Finance, Risk and Treasury.

Your Impact: Building a sustainable tomorrow

As a Regulatory Reporting Manager at Tandem your focus will be on:

Regulatory reporting delivery

  • Review and approve returns prepared by the team including COREP (Own Funds, Leverage Ratio, Large Exposures and Asset Encumbrance), FINREP, Liquidity (LCR, PRA110 and ALMM), FCA reporting (MLAR, PSD, CCR) and Bank of England statistical returns including BT and Form EL, ensuring accurate, timely and well-controlled delivery. You may also take full ownership of preparation and delivery of some returns yourself.
  • Own regulatory reporting inputs into the ICAAP and ILAAP, aligning projections, stress scenarios and risk quantification with underlying reporting positions.
  • Contribute to the writing of the Recovery Plan and Solvent Exit analysis, the delivery of which is owned by the Regulatory Reporting team, including the calibration of capital and liquidity recovery indicators against reported metrics.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and remediation of reporting issues, maintaining clear audit trails and robust reconciliations.

Technical expertise and governance

  • Apply and interpret the PRA and FCA Rulebooks, UK onshored CRR and Basel III/3.1 requirements to complex or novel exposures, translating regulatory text into clear and defensible reporting positions.
  • Maintain and develop Assumptions and Interpretations Manuals, keeping treatments and positions current, documented and supported by regulatory requirements.
  • Review threshold and deduction calculations and provide guidance on complex classification, mapping and exemption matters.
  • Maintain and strengthen controls over data sourcing, mapping, calculation and submission across all returns in scope.
  • Keep interpretation papers, procedures and control documentation current with regulatory change.

Team and Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and develop the regulatory reporting team, reviewing output and building technical capability.
  • Act as a key liaison with Prudential Risk, Treasury and Finance leadership on reporting positions, submission cycles and interpretation papers.
  • Represent the reporting function in regulatory engagement, responding clearly and credibly to queries and challenge.
  • Build strong working relationships across the three lines of defence and support effective governance of regulatory reporting.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong working knowledge of the PRA and FCA Rulebooks, UK onshored CRR, the EBA COREP framework and Basel III/3.1.
  • Demonstrable experience preparing and reviewing a wide range of prudential and statistical returns.
  • The ability to translate regulatory text into calculation logic and technically defensible interpretation positions.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience reviewing classification and mapping logic across complex data sets.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a reporting team and building technical capability.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Risk, Treasury and Finance, with the confidence to support regulatory engagement.
  • A rigorous approach to controls, documentation, issue remediation and delivery to deadlines
