Job description
What do I need?
- A full Category C (HGV Class 2) driving licence is essential. If you already hold a Category CE (HGV Class 1) licence — great! If not, don’t worry — we’ll support you in gaining it.
- A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and a digital tachograph card.
- Confidence using and adapting to new technology — we’ll provide the tools; you bring the curiosity.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns, including weekends and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
- Previous experience of working regular or permanent night shifts would be desirable, along with a good understanding of the importance of rest and recovery when working permanent night shifts.

The £7,008 annual Permanent Night Shift Payment (£584 per month) is paid alongside your salary, subject to statutory deductions, in the same month the night shifts are worked. Payment continues during authorised paid leave while you remain assigned to permanent nights and ceases immediately if you move to a different shift pattern. This allowance is non-contractual, non-pensionable and may be reviewed, amended, or withdrawn.
