Product Manager – Launchpad: Single Pane of Glass & Operational Orchestration
Job description
At easyJet, we are on a mission to transform our integrated Planning and Operations into a world class digitally optimised operation, through the use of new and emerging technologies.
Today, running the operation means working across many systems. Our teams move between separate tools to understand what is happening, decide what to do and then act — re-keying the same information, reconciling conflicting views of the truth and relying on experience to join it all together. Launchpad is how we change that\: a single pane of glass that brings the operation into one place, orchestrates the systems and workflows underneath it, and progressively takes the manual effort out of running an airline.
We are looking for a Product Manager to take end-to-end accountability for our Launchpad Product, working alongside the Senior Product Manager, fellow Product Managers and the operational and business teams who will live in this product every day.
Product and its ways of working is new to easyJet, and we are looking for people who are able to help us mature our capability as we journey through the skies together!
This role sits at the intersect between the business, technology teams and our customers, and will really make the difference. The team is highly specialised in emerging technologies and importantly understands how planning, operational and commercial decisions connect in a rapidly changing landscape.
JOB PURPOSE
As a Product Manager, you will own the strategy, development and delivery of one or many products.
Launchpad is both a surface and an engine. As a surface, it is the single, role-aware place where our operational teams see the whole picture and act on it. As an engine, it orchestrates across the underlying systems — planning, operations control, crewing, engineering, airports and commercial — so that one decision flows through to every system that needs it, once. Your job is to make that experience genuinely better than the sum of the tools it replaces, and to earn adoption on merit rather than mandate.
You will also own the intelligence layered onto it. Launchpad is where AI reaches our users\: surfacing what matters, explaining why, recommending what to do next and, increasingly, doing the work. You will set a credible path from decision support, to assisted action, to agentic AI — where agents carry out defined operational tasks end to end under human oversight, with clear guardrails, traceability and the ability for a human to intervene at any point. You will be expected to hold a view on what should be automated, what must stay with a person, and how we prove the difference.
Working closely with the Senior Product Manager and the Head of Technology, you will take full accountability for your products across their whole lifecycle — setting the vision, defining the roadmap and leading the cross-functional team that delivers it. That team, made up of engineers, designers, analysts, Data Scientists and delivery partners, will rely on your leadership to ensure every product decision is grounded in customer insight, operational efficiency and commercial value. You will also contribute to the strategy of the wider product group, making sure your products earn their place within it.
This is a highly collaborative role. You'll work closely with operational teams, third-party suppliers and senior stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into clear priorities and value-focused roadmaps. You'll align your product strategy with the group roadmap and broader corporate objectives, ensuring your plans support both near-term delivery and long-term transformation. You'll provide clear, data-driven insight that informs decisions at group and portfolio level.
This role is ideal for a hands-on product thinker who thrives in a high-volume, high-impact environment and can balance a compelling product vision with day-to-day execution.
PRODUCT SCOPE
Your products will deliver the following capabilities. You will not own the operation itself, nor every underlying system, but you will own the experience, the orchestration and the intelligence that sit above them.
Single Pane of Glass
A unified, role-aware operational view that brings together the flight, aircraft, crew, airport, passenger and commercial picture without the user leaving the product.
A clear information hierarchy that answers what is happening, what is about to happen, what needs attention and what it will cost — rather than presenting every data point equally.
Consistent design patterns, performance and accessibility across desktop for users working under time pressure in a 24/7 environment.
A single, trusted version of operational truth, with visible data lineage, freshness and confidence so users know what they are relying on.
Orchestration & Workflow
Orchestration of tasks, decisions and updates across the systems underneath, so a decision made once is reflected everywhere it matters without re-keying.
Workflow that takes the user from insight to action in the same place, including approvals, hand-offs, escalation and exception handling.
A deliberate position on where work should happen\: in Launchpad, in a system of record, or automatically — and how legacy screens, spreadsheets and manual workarounds are retired safely.
Platform, Integration & Extensibility
A composable platform that allows new capabilities, views and products from across the group to be surfaced in Launchpad without rebuilding the shell each time.
Clear contracts, APIs and event streams with the planning, operational, commercial and partner systems either side of your products, reusing what exists where it fits.
Shared foundations — identity, permissions, navigation, notifications, audit and telemetry — that other Product Managers can build on.
Intelligence & Decision Support
AI and analytics applied to the operational picture\: prioritisation, anomaly and risk detection, prediction of downstream impact and recommended courses of action.
Explainability by default, so a recommendation can be understood, questioned and overridden by the person accountable for the decision.
Natural language interaction with operational data and documentation, where it is faster and safer than a conventional interface.
Agentic AI & the Future Operation
A credible, staged path from decision support, through assisted action, to agents that complete defined operational tasks end to end.
Guardrails that make this safe and supportable\: scoped permissions, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, confidence thresholds, full traceability of what an agent did and why, and the ability to intervene, pause or roll back.
Evaluation and monitoring of AI and agent performance in live operation, including accuracy, drift, cost and the operational consequences of being wrong.
An informed view on emerging technology — models, agent frameworks, tooling and standards — and a pragmatic build, buy and partner position that avoids locking easyJet into short-lived choices.
Responsible use of AI in line with regulatory expectations, data protection, aviation safety requirements and our own ethical standards.
Adoption, Trust & Value
Measurement of what actually changes\: time to decide, time to act, systems touched per task, manual re-keying removed, task completion and automation rates.
Demonstrable links between Launchpad and operational and commercial outcomes such as OTP, disruption cost, crew and aircraft utilisation and customer experience.
Trust as a product requirement — earned through reliability, transparency and consistency, and lost quickly if the single pane of glass is wrong.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Product Strategy & Vision
Define and own the vision, strategy and roadmap for one to three products, from idea to value.
Ensure alignment with the strategy of the wider product group, organisational goals, user needs, and evolving market and operational dynamics.
Build the value case for your products and manage the resource and funding allocated to them, contributing to the wider product group budget owned by the Senior Product Manager.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business and with external partners and suppliers.
Act as the recognised expert and single point of contact for your products, translating priorities into actionable initiatives and negotiating trade-offs where necessary, escalating decisions that span the wider group.
Product Planning & Execution
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of your products, from idea and discovery through delivery, adoption and optimisation.
Translate business challenges into clear, prioritised product backlogs and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Define and track success metrics (OKRs and KPIs), ensuring your products deliver tangible business outcomes. Use data and insights to inform decisions, iterate on solutions, and continuously improve product performance.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Provide day-to-day leadership to a multidisciplinary squad, ensuring alignment across business SMEs, Technology, Data, Analytics, and external partners.
Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on delivering measurable value, and share practice openly with fellow Product Managers across the group.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure your product development adheres to legal, regulatory and operational standards.
Apply best practice in product governance, risk management, and ethical technology use.
Communication & Reporting
Act as the focal point for communication on your products, providing regular updates to the Senior Product Manager, Head of Technology and wider stakeholders on progress, risks and value realisation.
Ensure transparency and alignment with stakeholders at every level.
Product, Service & Vendor Management
Own the ongoing service performance of your products, working with Technology, suppliers and support partners to ensure the availability, reliability and support a 24/7 operation demands — agreeing and monitoring the service levels that matter to users, acting as the product-side escalation point for major incidents, and ensuring change is introduced safely with testing, training, documentation and operational readiness in place.
Manage the commercial and delivery relationship with your software vendors and implementation partners in line with easyJet’s procurement and supplier management frameworks, owning or contributing to contracts, licensing and subscriptions, tracking consumption and cost, running regular service and roadmap reviews, and making and defending clear configure, extend or replace decisions.
Represent easyJet externally in user groups, customer advisory boards and product forums to influence vendor roadmaps, maintain an evidence-based view of the vendor and wider market landscape, and build relationships with peer airlines to share practice and strengthen easyJet’s position in roadmap and commercial discussions.
