Principal Architect

You will set the long-term architecture for high-throughput transactional systems. You will design and review distributed microservices, optimize payment and ledger flows, establish engineering standards, lead AWS strategy, embed security and compliance, and mentor senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term technical architecture
• Lead the design and review of distributed systems and microservices
• Architect payment processing, ledger management, and financial data consistency systems
• Define architecture principles, coding standards, and deployment patterns
• Lead AWS strategy and optimize resource utilization, latency, and cost
• Integrate security-by-design principles and financial compliance requirements
• Mentor senior engineers, lead architecture reviews, and guide technical decisions

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience architecting large-scale payment platforms, ledger systems, or high-volume financial infrastructure
• Expertise in microservices architecture, event-driven design, and distributed systems
• Experience designing and operating high-traffic AWS applications
• Understanding of financial database patterns, transaction atomicity, consistency models, and distributed data
• Ability to influence technical direction and manage stakeholder expectations
• Knowledge of security in regulated industries and protecting sensitive financial data
