Member of Technical Staff Engineering Lead Shared Services

You will lead systems engineers building shared services for research, training, and production. You will prioritize work, guide distributed-systems architecture, make hands-on contributions, and translate research and training needs into reliable platform primitives and roadmap investments.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and grow a systems engineering team
• Lead shared-services engineering efforts
• Prioritize work and manage projects
• Guide scalable and reliable distributed-systems architecture
• Contribute targeted hands-on engineering work
• Co-design platform primitives with research and training teams
• Raise technical and execution standards

Requirements

• Experience building and growing engineering teams
• Distributed-systems engineering experience
• Production system ownership experience
• Strong coding ability
• Distributed systems architecture, service reliability, or container platform expertise
• SLI, SLO, on-call, sharding, replication, coordination, and tail-latency knowledge
• Ability to guide strategy and execution
