Hours: 37.5 hours per week, shift pattern, no weekends

Your Role
Provide professional lifeguard cover for military training pool sessions and maintain a safe environment for all pool users in line with RLSS and health and safety requirements.
Supervise swimming activities, enforce pool regulations, carry out rescues, administer first aid and respond appropriately to emergencies.
Prepare swimming facilities for use, including pool covers, lane ropes, direction signs and starting blocks where required.
Inspect, clean and maintain poolside areas, changing facilities, equipment stores and associated leisure facilities, reporting repair or replacement needs.
Support the Sports and Leisure team with facility inspections, equipment management, record keeping and customer service activities.
Promote positive customer relations and provide guidance on the safe use of facilities.
Attend monthly NPLQ training sessions to maintain qualification validity and undertake other reasonable duties as requested.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
Experience: Experience working effectively as part of a team, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of safety. Able to work in an organised manner, use initiative, follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities. Experience in a leisure environment is advantageous.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer-focused approach, professional conduct, ability to work independently when required and commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
