Job description

At Planteria Group, we help organisations reimagine their workplaces, making them more productive, healthy, and sustainable. From creating warm, welcoming reception areas to designing large-scale living architecture, we turn ordinary spaces into vibrant places where people genuinely love to be.

We’ve grown from a small family business into the UK’s leading interior landscaping specialist, transforming workplaces and commercial environments with the power of nature, alongside international expansion with operations in the US. Along the way, we’ve partnered with some of the UK’s, and now US’s, most recognisable brands to bring biophilic design to life, from lush office greenery and elegant corporate floristry to spectacular roof gardens and living walls.

Our success is driven by a fantastic team of 185 employees internationally, and we’re continuing to expand. We’re now looking for a proactive and technically minded IT Technician to join our team and help support the technology that keeps our business operating effectively across multiple locations.

Your Impact

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that Planteria's systems, devices and infrastructure continue to operate efficiently across our UK locations. Acting as the first point of contact for internal IT support, you will provide front-line technical assistance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain equipment, and support our colleagues in getting the most from the technology available to them.

This is a varied role that combines day-to-day user support with opportunities to contribute to wider technology projects, process improvements and business initiatives. Working closely with the IT Manager, you will help maintain high service levels, support new system implementations, manage hardware and software assets, and ensure a positive experience for all users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the first-line response for all IT queries and internal helpdesk tickets.

  • Managing ticket responses and resolutions in line with agreed service level expectations.

  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, networking and user access issues.

  • Supporting the setup, deployment and onboarding of new starters, including delivering IT inductions.

  • Maintaining user guides, technical documentation and internal procedures.

  • Monitoring hardware, equipment and licence requirements to ensure future business demand is met.

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with external technology partners and service providers.

  • Supporting routine system maintenance, updates and troubleshooting activities.

  • Assisting with IT projects, system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conducting research and self-development to build expertise across emerging technologies and business systems.

  • Providing technical and analytical support to wider departments where required.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk or technical support environment.

  • Experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365.

  • Experience deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.

  • Experience managing hardware, software and user accounts.

  • Experience creating user documentation and technical procedures.

  • Exposure to corporate network environments and infrastructure.

  • Experience with Ubiquiti networking solutions would be advantageous.

  • A-Level education or equivalent.

  • CompTIA A+ certification (or equivalent experience).

  • CompTIA Network+ certification (or equivalent experience).

Your Career Progression & Development

We believe careers aren’t one size fits all. That’s why we invest in learning and development across all our roles, empowering individuals to grow in ways that suit their strengths, whether that’s leading people, deepening expertise, or sharing knowledge as part of our wider training and development community.

Our Benefits:

  • Quarterly Company Bonus Scheme

  • BUPA Cash plan

  • Learning and Development Support

  • Lunch provided at our offices

  • 25 days holiday, plus any UK Bank Holidays

  • Ability to work 1 day per week from home as part of our hybrid working model (4 days per week in the office).

At Planteria Group, our culture is guided by our core values: Humble & Confident, Positive & Energetic, One TEAM, Relentless to Improve, and Create Wow!
