This is a high-profile position and there will be periodic FP&A tasks, as well as scenario planning and ad-hoc modelling, for example power and construction cost analysis models etc.

Responsibilities

  • Collate, validate and analyse financial and non-financial information from internal and external stakeholders to support investment decisions.
  • Build, maintain and review investment and development underwriting models across the full project lifecycle, from land acquisition and permitting through customer contracting, construction and Ready for Service.

  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess key investment drivers, risks and potential outcomes.
  • Partner with the Head of FP&A on site planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
  • Coordinate inputs across Finance, Development, Commercial and Operations, constructively challenging assumptions and source data.
  • Prepare clear reports and presentations for the CFO, C-suite and other decision-making forums, explaining performance drivers, forecasts and recommended actions.
  • Identify material variances, emerging risks and changes to expected returns, and recommend corrective actions through regular commercial performance reviews.
  • Maintain accurate, consistent financial models, reporting templates and supporting documentation.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, partners and Group stakeholders, supporting cross-functional projects, new site launches and expansions.

Requirements

  • Experience in financial reporting, FP&A, investment analysis, corporate finance or a related finance role.
  • Experience in the data centre; alternatively from infrastructure, real estate, energy or technology sectors is mandatory.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including experience evaluating investment returns and project economics.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, cash-flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting and investment appraisal.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in the data centre, infrastructure, real estate, energy or technology sectors is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • A recognised professional accounting or finance qualification, or progress towards one, is preferred
