Job description


Our client is seeking an HR Advisor for a four-month contract assignment based full time in the office in Cheltenham. This role will provide professional HR support across the business, advising managers and employees on a broad range of people-related matters and helping to ensure effective, consistent HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing practical HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Supporting employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
  • Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and employment documentation
  • Managing and maintaining accurate HR records and confidential personnel information
  • Supporting the implementation and consistent application of HR policies and procedures
  • Advising on absence management, performance matters and employee wellbeing
  • Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvements in people processes
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver an effective HR service
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in an HR Advisor or generalist HR role
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience supporting employee relations cases and providing sound HR advice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • High levels of discretion when handling confidential information
  • Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping abilities
  • Ability to work full time from the office in Cheltenham throughout the contract
