Direct Support Professional - Liverpool, NY

Advocates, Inc. is seeking a Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to work with a friendly and social young woman with a disability. She is currently looking for someone to support her while being active in her community through volunteering and participating in activities of interest, while also living a healthy lifestyle and increasing her independent living skills.

The ideal candidate is friendly, caring, reliable, engaging, and enjoys helping others. Related experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.

Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check with be conducted prior to hiring. Candidates must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day’s times, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required.

Hours work available

Fridays: 9:30am - 4:00pm

Pay rate: $25 / hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect / training is $16 / hour.

Location: Liverpool, NY
