- Develop and maintain the long-term asset management strategy for the HMCTS estate, ensuring property assets are optimised, legally secure, financially sustainable and aligned to organisational priorities.
- Lead the management of HMCTS's property interests across the estate, overseeing lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions, disposals, occupation planning, landlord and tenant matters, and other significant property transactions, whilst managing associated risks including lease expiries, security of tenure, landlord disputes and critical occupancy requirements.

- Build and maintain effective relationships across HMCTS, including Estate Strategy, Facilities Management, Capital Projects and Operational teams, as well as the Judiciary, Ministry of Justice, wider government and the property sector, to ensure asset management supports strategic objectives, investment priorities and best practice.
- Oversee the governance, performance reporting and financial management arrangements for the estate portfolio, including accountability for rents, rates and estate-related liabilities, ensuring robust data, compliance and decision-making.

- Significant experience leading and developing high-performing teams, setting strategic direction and delivering results through others in a complex organisational environment.
- Extensive experience of strategic asset management and corporate real estate portfolio management, including the development and implementation of asset or portfolio strategies that align property assets with current and future organisational needs.
- A proven track record of influencing, negotiating and building credibility with senior stakeholders, professional advisers and external partners, achieving successful outcomes in complex and politically sensitive environments.
- Demonstrable experience leading complex property transactions and managing property portfolios, including leasehold and freehold interests, acquisitions, disposals, lease events and associated risk management.
- Strong commercial, financial and analytical judgement, including experience using asset, occupancy and financial data to inform strategic decision-making, optimise value for money, and oversee the effective use of external advisers and consultants.
