Job description

The Role

We’re searching for an organised, proactive and delivery-focused Associate Project Manager to join our Project Management team, supporting the planning and delivery of projects across the business.

Working with Project Managers, Technical Leads, internal stakeholders and external partners, you’ll coordinate project activity from initiation through to completion, helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to the required quality standards.

This is an entry-level role, with training provided across the responsibilities below.

Key Responsbilities

  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of projects across multiple teams.

  • Maintain project plans, timelines, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.

  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and capture clear actions and decisions.

  • Track progress with Technical Leads and provide updates to Project Managers and stakeholders.

  • Support the management and escalation of risks, issues and change requests.

  • Coordinate resources and ensure key activities are completed within agreed timescales.

  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across functions and levels.

  • Prepare project documentation, reports and governance materials.

  • Identify opportunities to improve project processes, ways of working and delivery efficiency.

  • Take ownership of smaller workstreams or projects as experience develops.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have strong communication and relationship-building skills, attention to detail, a structured approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take ownership.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent organisation and time-management skills.

  • Can manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments.

  • Communicates confidently, both verbally and in writing.

  • Works effectively with stakeholders at different levels.

  • Is methodical, detail-oriented and comfortable working with data, reports and documentation.

  • Can identify and appropriately escalate risks, issues and dependencies.

  • Is proactive, solution-focused and adaptable to change.

  • Works well independently and as part of a team.

  • Is keen to develop a career in project management and take on increasing responsibility.

Requirements

  • Must be commutable to the Basingstoke office and available to work on-site a minimum of 4 days per week.

  • Must be able to obtain UK Government security clearance.

Salary:

Packages are competitive and differ according to experience. Full details can be discussed upon an invitation to interview.

Life at Interrupt Labs

Rewarded for the work you do

  • Annual bonus up to 15% based on company performance - when Interrupt does well, that gets shared across the team, not kept at the top.

  • 6% matched pension

  • 4x base salary Death in Service, so your family has a financial safety net without you having to think about it.

  • Salary sacrifice EV scheme, so going electric is more affordable through your pay.

  • Low-interest loans up to £10,000, for whatever life throws at you - big purchases, unexpected costs, or just breathing room.

Taking care of you

  • Private medical insurance with access to private GP consultations, mental health cover and various therapies cover (chiropractic treatment, osteopathy, acupuncture, homeopathy, podiatry/chiropody and up to two consultations with a dietician).

  • Employee Assistance Programme, with 24/7 confidential support.

  • Enhanced cycle to work scheme which can be used for a bike valued up to £10,000.

Time to switch off

  • 25 days annual leave, rising by a day each year up to 28, plus bank holidays, because good project management needs a rested mind, not a burnt-out one.

  • Option to buy up to 5 additional days' leave each year, if you want more flexibility than the base allowance gives you.

Growing your craft

  • If there's a certification, course, or conference that will genuinely make you better at your work, whatever it is - we want to hear about it and back it.

Supporting your family

  • Enhanced maternity pay: 12 weeks at full pay, followed by 12 weeks at half pay.

  • Enhanced paternity pay: 4 weeks at full pay.

Culture and office life

  • Regular company socials throughout the year.

  • Free hot and soft drinks, beer and snacks in the office, because the small daily things add up.
